Welcome, BrickMellonites, to Episode 3.

By the by, in honor of our Vice President, the phrase “a big fuckin’ deal” became a common phrase on this week’s show. So if you listen with small children: Stop.

We begin the show today with a visit from Beatles past. Katherine DeVoursney reads an open letter to Barack Obama about the economic potential hiding in the Buckeye State. BrickMelon News gets a little funnier this week with Calder Burgam and a new panelist, Sam Burtken. (Tom Holcomb is out writing papers this week. Good luck, Tom, and Godspeed.) Jonathon Hackett reveals Bob Ross' hidden agenda. This week's musical guest is Sarah Winters, who is releasing a new album entitled "Smallest Bones." You can find her music at www.facebook.com/sarahwintersmusic

Follow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/brickmelon
Be our fan on Facebook: www.facebook.com/brickmelon

Alright, so it’s midnight CST, and we’re really bored here at the offices of BrickMelon. We decided we’d give www.chatroulette.com a whirl.

After being barraged with more penises than one can fathom, and breasts that look like overly risen bread dough falling out of their pans, we decided to put up a flyer with our website and play some of this week’s podcast.

If you're joining us because of our Chat Roulette escapade leave a comment.

The best so far has been the two guys, one with a Guy Fawkes mask and the other with big heart glasses, who we could clearly make out saying “Should we?” as their heads turned toward each other simultaneously.

Yes. We're cheap, horrible bastards. We know. But you're on Chat Roulette too, goddammit.

BrickMelon actually made it to a second week of its newly re-christened 0th Season. You can't divide by it, or the universe will explode. Or at least your calculator will be angry.

We begin today's show with “Bill Cosby's” rendition of the "Aristocrats." Allye Gaietto delves into the world of portrait studios in A Picture's Worth, we review things that aren't really funny, and Clif and Jordan reflect on what the year 2030 was like for the gay community in a sketch by Ben Harpe. BrickMelon News is at it again…or at least is something. Jonathon Hackett ponders the implications of egg cartons, and Adam Skatula tells a story about an encounter with a crazy old woman. Finally, we close out the show with a song by Derek Luttrell.

More Credits?
Written by Allye Gaietto

(Before I start, I’d like to mention that we’d like to consider ourselves as comedians or satirists, so before you bunch up your panties, bear in mind that we have plans to make fun of any protest. Liberal, conservative, libertarian, populist (... Do those guys even do anything?), we will be there with our nonsensical name. This isn’t about make fun of any particular group, but about making fun of everyone, because this is America, and what’s the point of diversity if we can’t have a good laugh about it?)

Oh, man, guys.

I got out of bed at 11:40 this morning (stayed up late watching the Hangover - honestly, not worth it) to the inside of my brain screaming "FUCK IT IS SATURDAY WORK IS AT NOON!" I threw on clothes and ran through the Skyway to get to school (I work the front desk) only to realize when I got there that, due to crazy Spring Break work schedule, I did not actually work today.

On my way back to the apartment, I passed by MPR's news marquee, and read these exciting words: "Tea Party protest to take place at capital." Who better to tackle this headline than BrickMelon news?

I informed our host, Josh Bourdon, by jumping up and down and shouting "TEA PARTY PROTEST! TEA PARTY PROTEST!" After grabbing a camera and mic, we headed down to find some parking by the Capital building. Luckily, the Public Health Building has free parking on Saturdays. Apparently nobody had informed the protestors, though, because the lot was nearly empty. Maybe the words "Public Health" scared them away.

Josh called Derek Luttrell to make sure that he wouldn't get beaten up (Josh: “The only protests I know were the 2008 RNC protests, and those guys knew what they were doing.”) Lucky for us, a Tea Party protest has the demographics of a Doobie Brothers concert.

The three of us headed into the mass of patriotism and love for our great country, only feel like we were in the midst of some crazy pagan ritual. Michelle Bachmann was holding the heart of a virgin in her hands, and the people were crying out for it to be scarified to the sun-god. They were also trying to protect themselves from evil spirits; we believe they call these demons "Obama" and "Pelosi." However, further anthropological research is needed.

We witnessed a host of misspelled signs and a protesting pig. Obviously, he was against pork barrel spending. And pork in general. We also counted one black guy.

My personal favorite protestor was the 20-something man who had a stick without a sign. Either that, or the girl whose sign proclaimed: "Obama, who farted?" She just wanted to know. To quote, "I mean, something just stinks."

The biggest disappointment of the day was not getting an interview with the “protester” holding a sign saying “Obama, where’s my Oompa Loompa?” You can see him in the background of one of the clips. Speaking of which:

Check back next week for our coverage of the protests in our second video supplement.

I'm so glad I thought I had to work today.

Sometimes things sound like a good idea, but due to lack of planning (and lack of good microphones), they don't turn out as well as we'd hoped, and get cut from the actual show. Thus, this segment has been labeled an "outtake."

To explain: through the wonders of the internet, Josh found a quote from Jeremy stating that he could take anyone in Star Wars trivia. Naturally, a challenge had to be made. Allye was charged with treading through Wookiepedia to find appropriate questions. (Truthfully, she does know the different between Star Wars, Star Trek, and Stargate. This was supposed to be a joke with Allye's expense, as she had to make up the questions but doesn't quite have the nerd cred of the other two.) This section would've been "jumpy as hell," and was removed from the show. Now it's here for you super-fans who have…well, the ability to click on something.

For the record, Josh would like to say that “Leebo” and “Lobot” sound a lot alike. Don't judge.
